This revised and updated edition includes all of the aphorisms from the first book along with an additional 48 pages of new ones, and incorporates recent material from Sagmeister’s exhibitions at the Deitch Projects gallery in Soho and the Institute of Contemporary Art in Philadelphia, as well as his current project, The Happy Film. The book retains its unique packaging, now with 18 unbound signatures gathered into a laser-cut slipcase.

Daniel Nettle is a reader in psychology at Newcastle University and is the author of Happiness: The Science Behind Your Smile. Steven Heller is cochair of the MFA Design program at the School of Visual Arts. Nancy Spector is deputy director and chief curator at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.

Highly Stylized - love at first sight

HIGHLY IMPRESSIVE!! There are small leaflets with photos of his work from beginning to end and information about them all. The "box" it came in was highly stylized that I fell in love with the detailed die cut organic pattern that covers Sagmeister's face. I'm so happy to add this to my collection of designer books that I use for references over and over again.

Absolute perfection!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Writing an in-depth review seems like it would be doing it an injustice because part of the fun of any Sagmeister book is opening the packaging and seeing the clever ways in which he presents the content. But then, Sagmeister wouldn't be who he is if he didn't brilliantly present the messages he wants you to take away. If you love his work, get this book. It will not disappoint you. If you are a student interested in his work, get this book. The information is easy to digest, and you'll appreciate all the care and planning that went into creating this beautiful volume of work.
